The Reverse Mortgage Process

  1. Application
    • The process begins by filling out an application. You can do it one of three ways:
    • Once the application is complete, we will send or meet with you to sign the the appropriate documents.
    • We will also collect a copy of a Driver's License or Government ID (must include your date of birth, a picture, and social security number).
  2. Counseling
    • You will receive a list of Free, 3rd Party, Inependent Counselors to choose from.
    • It is your job to schedule a convenient time to meet with the counselor.
    • It is the counselor's job to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your Reverse Mortgage.
  3. Appraisal
    • Once we receive the application, identification, and counseling certificate from you, we will contact a certified appraiser to inspect your home.
    • The appraiser will then organize a convenient time with you to asses your home.
    • The appraiser will then send us the necessary documentation regarding your home's condition and value.
  4. Closing
    • We will work with you and the settlement agent to schedule a date and time for your closing
    • Sign all the required documents at the closing.
    • Receive your cash after a mandatory three-day rescission period.
